As a United Methodist congregation, Silver Spring United Methodist Church connects to others worldwide partly through through apportionment giving. This enables us to support the ministries and missions of the larger church through financial support that goes beyond our own congregation and local community.
Apportionment dollars fund campus ministry programs, help fight to eradicate malaria in Northern Africa, support retired United Methodist clergy, and enable ministries within the Baltimore-Washington Conference and to achieve much more—together.
At SSUMC we are committed to growing in our apportionment giving and believe our faithfulness to the larger church is essential to our own ministry and mission.
